WELCOME TO DCS!

Here’s a quick overview of the weekend!

We’re using two rehearsal venues this weekend.

Friday, Sept 22

We’re meeting in Amy E Dupont 118 (AED 118) from 7:30 – 9:45. Happy Hour to follow at Iron Hill Brewery on Main Street. (Parking is available in the CFA garage. Sorry – you have to pay to park.)

I plan to try and get through EVERYTHING in the folder in the order it’s listed on the rep list. Would be super helpful if you had your scores in order at the start of rehearsal. Ben will be there by 7:00 pm to distribute packet for people with hard copies.

Saturday, Sept 23 (Please note that we’re supposed to have torrential rains this weekend and the rehearsal venues are about three blocks apart. Bring your rain gear and inflatable rowboats.)

Rehearsal agenda for the day will be sent out Saturday morning.

MORNING REHEARSAL in B# Hall from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm

LUNCH on your own. (Staff Meeting during lunch at Green Turtle)

AFTERNOON REHEARSAL in AED 118 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

EVENING on your own (Make new friends!)

Sunday, Sept 24

Finis!

In case of illness, please text me at 302-544-2678. We’ve had a rash of mild COVID cases around campus. University policy is to quarantine for five days, but as this is not an “official UD activity” I suggest you exercise your best judgement. If you’ve been without symptoms for a couple days, you may wish to mask up and attend rehearsal to observe from the back of the room. (Distance of 30′) That’s easily possible in both venues. In B#, you could even sit in the balcony. πŸ™‚

If you’re healthy and COVID concerned, you’re certainly welcome to mask up during rehearsal.

Also, we’ll have set up and tear down stuff to do in B# before and after those rehearsals. If you’re able to help out with that, (the first set-up will be at 9:15 am on Saturday morning) – please comment on this post below. Three or four people would make that go really quickly!

So looking forward to a weekend of great music making. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to me or Amy.

P.S. AND REMEMBER… We have a photo shoot on Sunday. All black with an optional splash of blue – OR last summer’s DCS outfits.
