We just received the green light from UD Center for Global Programs and Services (CGPS) to complete their application. This application is critical to provide each person with risk management (Crisis24) and to provide UD students/staff with travel medical insurance through GeoBlue. The good news is that once you complete this ONE application, they will do the rest of the work to get you in those systems.
Participants who are NOT UD students/staff members should plan to purchase their own travel medical insurance. Paul recommends buying insurance through insubuy.com, but any of the large companies will likely have a policy that fits your needs.

The application asks for passport details and emergency contacts, as well as very specific flight and hotel information. Below are a few fields that you may wish to enter. If you are unsure of any of these details, please reach out to Amy for assistance.

- Record locator: This is a 6 character code that is found on your booking confirmation.
- Airline name: For most of you, this is Lufthansa Airlines
- Flight #: This is a two digit code plus a number. The flight numbers for the majority of the group are LH403/LH1404 for EWR-ZAG and LH1727/LH412 for ZAG-EWR.
- Date of departure: For most, this is 06/22/2026
- Name of departure airport: For most, EWR
- Name of arrival airport: ZAG
- Return flight information: Use the same details as above, but in reverse. Most return flights depart on 06/29/2026 and arrive on 06/29/2026.
HOTELS
- Date of arrival: 06/23/2026
- Date of departure: 06/29/2026

Risk Management
CGPS will upload all participant flight information into the Crisis24 platform and register UD participants for the BCBS international insurance. All participants should download the Crisis24 App before departure.
International Insurance
UD staff and students should download the BCBS Global Solutions App and the BCBS Global Solutions (insurance) ID card before departure. After everyone submits their travel registration, participants will get a welcome email from BCBS Global Solutions (if they haven’t been registered for it before). UD staff and students receive full coverage; non-UD people will need to secure their own international health coverage.
If we are not affiliated with UD, is it mandatory that we get travel health insurance? I’ve never had it in the past and have been fine, but if DCS is requiring it, we will get it.
Hi Lauren! We are not requiring that you get travel health insurance, but we do strongly encourage it.
FYI, the form also requires the address of the hotels.

Amy – I’ve submitted both forms for my wife and me, but I can’t download the app, because it either does not send me the email it says it will send to set up my account, or I need a Member Number which I do not have.
Hi Scott. Once applications are submitted, the people in the global programs office are going to be manually entering your information into the Crisis24 system. Any welcome emails will not come until after they sign you up. The Blue Cross Blue Shield app and welcome email are only for UD students/staff. Thanks for asking this question!
