Dear Schola,
Please plan to attend rehearsal tonight as we need ALL voices to see where we really are. Our May 1/2 concerts (and rehearsal with the orchestra) are right around the corner! I saw an email today that Amy E HVAC system has officially been switched over to freezer mode. I haven’t been in the building yet today to know if that’s true, so be prepared to either melt in the heat or freeze in the ice box. Layers!
Paul and I have been dealing all day today and yesterday with figuring out how to get Delaware Choral Scholars to Zagreb on Thursday after it was announced that Lufthansa flight attendants are going on strike AGAIN, cancelling all flights on Wednesday and Thursday. This means our connecting flight from Frankfurt to Zagreb was cancelled with no indication of when we may be rebooked. Cue freak out mode. Paul woke up at 3 am this morning to start calling German bus companies to see if we could find one that will drive the choir from Frankfurt to Zagreb. Spoiler alert: we found a bus and United worked some miracles to get that cancelled flight off our itineraries without affecting our flight to Europe and our flights home.
So… if Paul seems a little tired tonight…. Maybe he will gift us a with slower tempos so we can finally get that pesky fugue!
See you all tonight. Bring a sweater!
Amy

Does that cancelled flight affect this weekend’s trip or this summer’s Croatia trip. I’m assuming the former, but want to be sure.
If your title is a reference to the song “Pop Muzak” by M, then hats off to you for an amazing 80s deep cut!
I’m sorry but I am likely to be absent this evening. I am inundated by pollen and while I don’t believe that I am infectious, I am in the constantly coughing, sneezing, and dripping phase of this and if it was anyone else showing up, apparently sick, I would not be pleased.
