SUMMER 2023: England and Wales
The Delaware Choral Scholars embarked on their 2023 tour of the United Kingdom. The 60-voice international touring choir competed in the Llangollen Choir of the World competition in Wales where they placed first in the Open Choir category, headlined at the JAM on the Marsh Festival in Hythe, England, and performed in many concerts along the way!
SUMMER 2022: Croatia
The choir returned to the international stage for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, and did so in a two-week-long residency in Rovinj, Croatia. The choir lived in the town, explored, and spent many hours in rehearsal working on stunning a capella choral works. The project was split into two weeks, with primarily current UD students the first week and alumni the second week, and both weeks culminated in concerts at St. Euphemia’s Church.
SUMMERS 2014 – 2019: Aix-en-Provence, France
The Summer Choral Symposium in France ran during the summers from 2014 – 2019. Based in the charming town of Aix-en-Provence in the South of France, the choir gave many concerts and street performances.
The Symposium also hosted many guest conductors and student conductors, to provide learning opportunities for the participants.
