BRAVO! BRAVO!

Having regained a bit of sanity after an awe-inspiring weekend (And I mean that!) I’m writing with a hearty congratulations to you all!

As predicted, Friday night really did turn out to be the dress rehearsal for “the real thing!” And the real thing was pretty spectacular. From where I was standing, it was evident that as the concert unfolded that the orchestra was invigorated by the choir, and then visa-versa. And the acoustics were exactly I had hoped they would be: Reverberant, but not so much so that clarity was sacrificed. The blend and balance of the choir was remarkable, as if both groups had been rehearsing together all semester.

Truly rewarding

NO MORE REHEARSALS THIS SPRING

Just to make sure you know, that concludes Schola Cantorum for the spring semester. We’ll resume around the first week of September. Hoping to announce next year’s program soon.

SHEET MUSIC DROP

If you have hard copies of the music from the past semester, we’ll place a box in the student lounge (at the bottom of the stairs) tomorrow so you can drop that off. Otherwise, if you know you’re returning in the fall, you can wait and bring it to the first rehearsal

TEAM CROATIA

There will be an optional informational meeting tomorrow (Tuesday @ 7:30 pm) in AED 211. I’ll be sending out a separate post about that first thing tomorrow morning, including the long-awaited rep list. (The meeting will also be on ZOOM.) If you’re going to Croatia, watch for the announcement first thing tomorrow morning.

Congrats again on a wonderful evening of music!

  1. Word has it that St. ELIZABETH’S recorded the program. If that is true, I would certainly contribute $50 to Schola Cantorum at UDEL.EDU for a link to it.

Thank you for allowing me to sing and contribute in whatever way I could.
