Delaware Choral Scholars


DELAWARE CHORAL SCHOLARS: Artistry. Excellence. Community.
Comprised of current students from the University of Delaware, along with alumni and friends from all over the country, the Delaware Choral Scholars represent the long-standing tradition of choral excellence and commitment to engaging the human spirit through the experience of communal singing. In addition to numerous regional and national ACDA performances, the choir has received top accolades at festivals and competitions in Estonia, Hungary, Israel, Germany, and Spain.




Dr. Paul D. Head
Executive and Artistic Director
Paul D. Head serves as the Director of Choral Studies at the University of Delaware as well as the founder and director of the Delaware Choral Scholars. He has conducted honor choirs and clinics in seven countries and 25 states, is a published author with GIA and Oxford University Press, and has led nearly two dozen international choral endeavors since he began teaching high school in 1987. He resides with his wife of 37 years in southeastern Pennsylvania, is the father of three grown children, and takes pride in his role of faithful walking companion to Charley the Dog.
